Devon pile pressure on Oxfordshire on day two


Devon took control on day two of their Minor Counties clash with Oxfordshire as they built a significant second innings lead.

After bowling Oxfordshire out for 105 in reply to their first innings total of 251, Devon reached 291-7 before declaring in their second innings.

James Burke top scored for the visitors with 81 as they set Oxfordshire a target of 438 to win.

At the close, Oxfordshire were 32-1, Damian Shirazi the man out.

The hosts trail by 405 runs, while Devon need nine wickets to wrap up victory at Great Tew.
