Confidence high in Cornish camp after Cheshire win

Cornwall captain Tom Sharp has said confidence is high following his sides six wicket win over Cheshire in the Minor Counties Championship.

Cornwall took only two days to defeat Cheshire for the first time since their first match in 1983.

Sharp told BBC Cornwall: ""In my 10 years as captain it's one of my most memorable wins.

"We've got three games at home in a row now and we tend to have a good record at home."

He added: "Teams find it tough coming down here and playing in our conditions so as long as we have some reasonable weather we fancy ourselves in those three matches."

Cornwall's next match will see them take on Wales at Falmouth on Sunday, 10 July.
