|Third Test, Dominica (day four, close):|
|West Indies 204 & 224-6 v India 347|
West Indies batsman Kirk Edwards hit a century on debut, but could not prevent India from closing in on victory on day four of the third Test in Dominica.
Edwards (110) shared a third-wicket stand of 161 with Shivnarine Chanderpaul (73 no).
But after Edwards fell to Harbajan Singh (3-61), India struck twice more late in the day to leave hosts 224-6 at the close, a lead of only 81.
Earlier, captain Mahendra Dhoni fell for 76 as India were dismissed for 347.
Dhoni was one of five victims for Fidel Edwards but the Windies made a poor start to their second innings.
When Darren Bravo became Harbajan's first victim the hosts had slumped to 40-3 before Kirk Edwards and Chanderpaul led the recovery.
Edwards was finally dismissed inside the final 10 overs of the day when he edged behind to Dhoni for 110.
Harbajan trapped Marlon Samuels three balls later but the resolute Chanderpaul battled through to stumps.
India lead the three-match series 1-0.
