Glamorgan have been allowed to extend Simon Jones' loan spell for another two weeks allowing him to play in the CB40 clash against Essex at Chelmsford.
Jones has been with Glamorgan for a month but had been due to return to Hampshire on 20 July.
The 2005 Ashes hero will be available for the trip to Chelmsford and the Swansea Festival.
Glamorgan coach Matthew Mott had made it clear the county were actively looking to extend Jones' stay.
Jones has so far figured in 10 t20 matches for Glamorgan and took 10 wickets.
He was also in the Glamorgan team for Sunday's abandoned CB40 match against the Unicorns at the Swalec Stadium.
As well as the Essex game Jones will be available for Glamorgan LV County Championship match against Northamptonshire starting at Swansea on 27 July followed by a CB40 clash with Nottinghamshire on 31 July.
Glamorgan want 32-year-old Jones to play against Essex as it is unlikely they will be without left arm seamer Graham Wagg who is still recovering from a calf strain.
"He [Wagg] is coming through quite well. It is a minor calf strain, so given that we have got some options we will probably errr on the side of caution with him," revealed Mott.
"If he is not 100% we won't risk him."
The clash against Essex Eagles is crucial for Glamorgan as they attempt to close the gap on the Group C leaders.
Glamorgan are currently third four points adrift of Somerset and Essex.
