Hampshire boss Giles White says his side are desperate to beat Durham in the CB40 at the Rose Bowl on Tuesday.

The two sides have also been drawn against each other in the quarter-final of the FL t20 and White says his side will not underestimate their opponents.

"They're a dangerous side, they've played here before so know what to expect." he told BBC Radio Solent.

"But we're looking forward to it and are desperate to win, so it'll be nice to put in a good performance at home."

White also insisted that Dimi Mascarenhas, who returned from an Achilles injury in May, will be back for Tuesday's contest.

The all-rounder was left out of Hampshire's CB40 clash with Leicestershire on Sunday, which was abandoned after just 14 overs.

"Dimi got a bug, we think it's one of those 24-hour things, but he should be OK for Tuesday," White said.

"We've been really pleased with his progression, he's played a huge part in our T20 competition up until now and also in the CB40 but Championship cricket is still a struggle for him.

"So it's up to him when he feels right to put himself into the hat for selection for four day cricket, but he's in the squad for Tuesday."
