Guernsey captain Stuart Le Prevost is confident his team can do well in the ICC European Division One Championship in the Channel Islands.

The event begins on Tuesday, with Guernsey facing Norway, and ends on Sunday, with the final in Jersey.

Le Prevost said: "We go into these tournaments to win, we're not taking any team lightly but we are confident.

"We're just going to go out and do our best and try to win game by game... playing at home is a massive thing."

He added: "We've got some great players, in Twenty20 one or two guys can make a big difference in a game.

"If you've got seven or eight guys who could be that one or two then obviously that's where our strength lies as we've got those match winners in our side.

"We've played the majority of them before, but that's in 50-over cricket. In 20-over cricket it's a whole different board game."
