Lancashire announce Hampshire venue change

Liverpool has hosted four Lancashire home four-day games this summer

Lancashire have switched their final home County Championship game of the season against Hampshire from Old Trafford to Liverpool.

Cricket director Mike Watkinson said: "We have no concerns about the new wicket at Old Trafford but we only have five pitches available this season.

"The volume of one-day cricket has not allowed the amount grass growth we would have ideally wanted."

The Division One game is scheduled to start on Wednesday, 7 September.
