Roach replaces Ajmal, who claimed 36 wickets for the county this season

Worcestershire have signed West Indies fast bowler Kemar Roach until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old right-armer will replace Worstershire's current overseas international Saeed Ajmal, who returns to his national side next week.

Roach has taken 40 Test wickets against India and Pakistan this year.

Worcestershire's Director of Cricket, Steve Rhodes, said: "To have one of the fastest bowlers in the world can only be a huge plus factor."

He added: "We've enjoyed Saeed's involvement with the team. Obviously we are disappointed, but we recognise that international cricket comes first."
