Devon boosted by skipper Neil Hancock return

Devon will be boosted by the return of captain Neil Hancock when they face Berkshire in the Western Division title decider on Sunday.

Australian-born Hancock broke his nose three weeks ago in a league match when he was hit by a bouncer.

Hancock said: "Although I looked a mess after being hit on the nose, it looked worse than it actually felt.

"At some stage I will need an operation to straighten my nose, but that can wait until the season is over."

The injury forced Hancock out of his side's last Minor Counties clash against Shropshire, which Devon won by four wickets.

That result moved Devon to second in the table eight points behind leaders Berkshire with one game remaining.
