Farmers win upheld after appeal by Argyll Investment

Jersey cricket side Farmers-Caesareans are through to the semi-finals of the Channel Island Cricket League after an appeal over a result was dismissed.

Farmers beat Guernsey's Argyll Investment by one run under the Duckworth-Lewis method.

However, the wrong method was used and the correct version would had seen the Guernsey team win by two runs.

The appeal committee agreed with the islands' cricket boards that the applied method should stand.

Farmers will play Guernsey side Odey ORs at the KGV on Saturday.
