Tim Ravenscroft has been omitted from Guernsey's squad for the annual inter-insular with Jersey on Saturday.
Ravenscroft is the only player from Guernsey's World Cricket League squad who will not play because the Hampshire youngster is ineligible.
Players have to play in at least half of their local club's domestic fixtures to be able to play.
Chris Van Vliet and Dave Hooper are set to make their debuts in the competition as Stuart Le Prevost captains the side.
Ravenscroft made his debut for Hampshire on Monday in their 115 run win over Scotland in the Clydesdale Bank Pro 40.
