Fahad Masood and David Gillett set new league records

Fahad Masood
Masood broke Kristian Adams' 2003 record of 67 wickets

Bourne bowler Fahad Masood and Market Deeping's David Gillett have set new Lincolnshire Premier League records for most wickets and catches by a fielder.

Masood took 7-43 as Boston were all out for only 92 with Bourne winning their top-three clash by six wickets.

It took his tally to 74, bettering the 67 by Grimsby's Kristian Adams in 2003.

Deeping skipper Gillett claimed three catches as they beat Lindum by one wicket, his total of 18 catches being one more than his own previous record.

Chasing the hosts' 173, Deeping looked set for defeat at 136-9 but Ali Sharpe saw them home with 41 not out.

Bracebridge Heath moved closer to the title with a comfortable 197-run victory at home to Hartsholme.

Vikram Atri, Brett Houston and Paul Cook all made half-centuries in the leaders' 286-7 before the visitors were dismissed for 89.

Tom Shorthouse (101) and Prabodha Senevirathne (102) helped Sleaford to 274-3 at Skegness, with the hosts all out for 210, Wade McCall top-scoring on 64.

Nuwan Shiroman made 146 not out in his final match for Louth before returning to Sri Lanka, and Graham West also made a century in their mammoth 312-4 at bottom side Nettleham, who in reply were all out for 189 despite 66 from Dan Wright.

Woodhall Spa and Grimsby shared more than 500 runs as their match ended in a tie at Augusta Street.

Fawad Alam (86) and Jack Luffman (60no) took Woodhall to 253-8 from their 50 overs and in reply there were half-centuries for Richard Antcliffe and George Linde as Grimsby made 253-9.
