Former chairman Don Amott cuts ties with Derbyshire

Derbyshire

Ex-Derbyshire chairman Don Amott has resigned from the General Committee.

Amott, who stepped down as chairman in March, had also sponsored the club for 20 years as well as being a president.

But in a statement Amott said he could no longer devote the time necessary to the role because of work commitments and was departing with a "heavy heart".

Chairman Chris Grant told the club's websiteexternal-link: "I'd like to record my thanks for everything Don has done for Derbyshire over the year."
