Spinner Vikram Banerjee has left Gloucestershire prior to his contract ending at the end of the season.
The 27-year-old has decided to leave the club to pursue a career away from county cricket.
He broke into the side in 2007 and has appeared in 43 first-class games.
Director of cricket John Bracewell told the club website: "He has made some important contributions with the ball for us over the years both on and off the field."
Banerjee added: "I have thoroughly enjoyed the challenges of county cricket and feel proud to have given my all to Gloucestershire.
"I wish the squad all the best and I am now looking forward to challenges of a different kind."
