Ireland cruised to a 133-run win over Canada in the one-day international at Clontarf on Monday.

Ed Joyce top-scored with 88 as Ireland compiled a daunting 328-6 while William Porterfield (67) and Gary Wilson (56 not out) also starred with the bat.

Canada reached 32 without loss but the wickets soon fell and John Mooney took 4-27, while Usman Limbada was the best of the tourists with 50.

The teams meet again at Clontarf on Tuesday in a second one-day game.

The top seven Irish batsman made double figures with Niall O'Brien (37), Kevin O'Brien (35) and Paul Stirling (26) chipping in with valuable runs.

Wilson's 56 came off just 36 balls while Kevin O'Brien needed just 15 for his 35.

Boyd Rankin, Alex Cusack, George Dockrell and Kevin O'Brien each took a wicket as the Canadians were dismissed for 195.
