Lancashire coach Peter Moores says his players will give everything to repeat last season's title winning success.

"The supporters know that when this Lancashire side play they do so with a pride and a passion for the county," he told BBC Radio Lancashire.

"You can't guarantee winning, but you need to make sure you're up for it every game, if that means we win another trophy then great."

Lancashire begin their title defence against Sussex on 12 April.

Moores added: "They've all got things on the agenda that they want to do.

"They want to go on, some want to get higher honours, they want to achieve more wins in one-day and four-day cricket.

"We've seen a real hunger when we've practised this winter.

"The knowledge from last season will help, providing it doesn't take away from our desire to work hard and play good cricket."

Lancashire have yet to add to their squad with an overseas signing and Moores says he has not yet decided whether Junaid Khan or Farveez Maharoof could make an Old Trafford return.

"They were two real influences last year, we'll just have to see where they are, what the availability is and who else is out there," he concluded.
