Ireland lost by seven wickets to Kenya in the first one-day international between the sides in Mombasa.
Ireland won the toss and elected to bat, but were all out for 200 from 47.3 overs. Paul Stirling scored 46 and Kevin O'Brien contributed 39.
Kenya replied with a score of 201-3 off 42.4 overs, with John Mooney and George Dockrell taking a wicket apiece, along with one Kenyan player being run out. Tanray Mishra ended on 70 not out.
The sides will meet again on Monday.
Collins Obuya took three Ireland wickets for 24 runs, with Shem Ngoche taking 2-40.
Rakep Patel scored 42 not out in Kenya's reply.
