Dean Cosker scored the winning runs as Glamorgan won with a ball to spare against Gloucestershire in their first one-day pre-season friendly.

Cosker was accompanied in the final overs by Mike O'Shea, whose 48 not out guided Glamorgan to the 203-run target.

Simon Jones (2), Will Owen and Cosker took the wickets as the home side posted 202 for 4 from their 40 overs.

Nick James (55) put Glamorgan on their way before Cosker and O'Shea sealed a three-wicket victory.

The Bristol match was the first of three one-day games organised by the Welsh county before the start of the new season.

They beat Somerset by 10 wickets at Taunton in a two-day match on Tuesday.
