Durham all-rounder Ian Blackwell hit an unbeaten 103 as the MCC were bowled out for 266 on the first day of their Champion County match with Lancashire.
Blackwell, who hit 16 fours, also trapped Stephen Moore lbw as Lancashire closed on 38-2 in Abu Dhabi.
Simon Kerrigan had claimed 4-65 for the reigning county champions in their first competitive game of 2012.
Moore followed Paul Horton (9) back to the pavilion having made just 12 to leave Lancashire under early pressure.
