Cornwall beat Bedfordshire by six wickets in MCCA Trophy

Cornwall's bowlers ensured they finally got their 2012 season off to a winning start with a six-wicket win over Bedfordshire in the MCCA Trophy.

Skipper Tom Sharp ripped through the Bedfordshire batsmen taking four wickets for only nine runs as they were bowled out for 114 at Truro.

Opener Matthew Robins carried his bat through Cornwall's reply with 39 not out while Dan Davis hit 19.

Cornwall cruised to their target for the loss of four wickets in 30.3 overs.

Cornwall could clinch a place in the knockout rounds with a win at Hertfordshire next week.
