County Championship Division Two, Ageas Bowl, day one (close):
Hampshire v Derbyshire - no play possible because of rain
Match scorecard

Hampshire and Derbyshire were confined to the pavilion as heavy rain prevented any play on the opening day of their Division Two game at the Ageas Bowl.

The umpires sent the players away in early afternoon with pools of water lying on the outfield.

Unbeaten Derbyshire currently head the table and are looking for their third Championship win of the summer.

Skipper Jimmy Adams will return to lead Hampshire, along with bowlers Kabir Ali, Danny Briggs and James Tomlinson.
