Odey ORs go top of Guernsey's cricket league after 136-run win

Odey ORs are top of the Guernsey cricket league after a 136-run win over Wanderers at Port Soif.

Tom Kirk starred with 78 not out off 36 balls, including four sixes and seven fours, while Adam Martel hit 79 off 113 balls as Odeys scored 269 for 6.

Wanderers could only manage 133 all out off 34.5 overs in reply as George Headington, Jordan Martel and Lee Savident all took two wickets.

In the weekend's other game Cobo beat Elizabeth College by 27 runs.

After a tricky start, island captain Stuart le Prevost steadied Cobo's ship with 46 before Jamie Nussbaumer (51) and Kris Moherndl (25) put on 70 for the sixth wicket as they opened with 188-8.

The College could not get going and in reply were 161-9, Matt Stokes top-scoring with 22.
