Essex have named Ravi Bopara in their squad for Tuesday's CB40 match against the Netherlands.
Bopara returns after a thigh muscle injury, which kept him out of the first two England tests against the West Indies.
The batsman is named in a 15-man Eagles squad, which includes Graham Napier and Tim Phillips, who are also back in contention after injuries.
Essex are chasing their first win of this season's competition in Rotterdam.
Coach Paul Grayson told BBC Essex: "They are a good side and they've already won two matches in the group."
"It's important we go with the right attitude and we need to start winning in that format."
The Eagles' first match in the CB40 this season at Leicestershire was abandoned and they followed that with defeats against Worcestershire and Lancashire.
