Glamorgan's bowlers led the fightback as they ended day two of their clash with Gloucestershire at Swansea in a strong position.
The hosts resumed deep in trouble on 64-6 and soon slumped to 125-9.
But Dean Cosker (49no) and Huw Waters (39) added 83 for the last wicket as they were finally dismissed for 208.
Cosker and Waters then both struck with the ball, while James Allenby took 3-20 as Gloucestershire slumped to 91-7 in reply by the close.
Gloucestershire were not helped by batsman Hamish Marshall suffering from illness, which meant he did not bat until number nine.
