Essex seamer David Masters awaits side strain scan results
Essex seam bowler David Masters is to undergo a scan on a side strain that will determine whether he can play again this summer.
The 37-year-old suffered the injury on the opening day of last week's seven-wicket win over Kent and was unable to take any further part in the game.
Masters is Essex's leading wicket-taker in the Championship with 39 victims at a cost of just 19.87 runs each.
He has claimed over 700 wickets in all forms of the game during his career.
