Minor Counties Championship Final, Truro
Close, day one: Cornwall 257

Cornwall were bowled out for 257 on a rain-reduced first day of the Minor Counties Championship final against Buckinghamshire at Truro.

After being put in by Bucks, Chris Hunkin top-scored with 77, backed by Tom Hughes (47) and Neil Curnow (41) in 90 overs.

Bucks have former England one-day batsman Mal Loye in their ranks.

But the visitors did not get started in their innings at Boscawen Park due to thick drizzle.

The second day's play is due to get underway on Monday morning (10:00 BST).

Cornwall are in their first final against a Buckinghamshire side who share the record of 10 wins with Staffordshire.
