99. Hello. Welcome to England.welcome to the BBC website. I have no idea which language you are using. Either you are from a council estate or from Bradfordordistan. But thank you for your point. We will chat but more likely at a car wash. £10 full mini valet please!!
@100, Root is a specialist opener in first class cricket but he usually bats in the middle order in one day cricket. Although there's no reason to drop Compton at the moment Root will eventually be Cook's opening partner in the Test team.
Bell remains a quandry - If you look at his recent record since coming back in as an opener, then it stacks up, but he can't seem to deal with toughing it out in difficult circustances, threw his wicket away again yesterday. Mentally frail and it may be time to let him go. Troytt has had so much criticism on here, but our performances in India showed just how important he is. Root looks the part
Cook (c)HalesTrottKPRootMorganButtler (wk)BroadSwannAndersonFinnSurely that would be a stronger team, I know only 4 front line bowlers, but Root/KP/Trott to make up 10 overs between them? I personally think it's crazy that Hales hasn't been given a run in the ODI team yet. Perhaps even Root opens? He has does do it for Yorkshire at times?
@98 Bet u wernt saying dat afta da Test Series earlier when we beat u Regarding da 2nd Team thats certainly a point wid the bowing lineup not so much with the bat but u contradicted yourself we restd 3 or 4 emphasise on Restd India was without veru Zac etc because they was dropped for not cutting da mustard so if you picked them u mite of lost likewise if we had our missing playrs we mite of won
Men against boys. Stop blaming the umpires. Yuvraj and Rohit got some marginals but so what? Cricket has been wothout DRS for 130 odd years prior to recent developments?Better team won. Talking of England 2nd team is a joke..India have dropped Zaheer Khan, Harbhajan,Sehwag and ST has retired. So what? 3 or 4 youngsters are also waiting to come in.
Then again we at hampshire are used to having our top players over looked we aren't a fashionable club. Admittedly england bung the odd player in for a game now and then. Over the years we have had some fantastic players but they have never got a sniff. Like a lot of you that have posted have said what the hell are some of them doing playing they aren't even English.
I think it is scandalous that no hampshire players ever get chosen. Hampshire are the best t20 and one day side in the country as results and trophies have proved over the last few years. If they are looking for a wicket keeper batsman look no farther than bates he's superb on both accounts. And what about Biggs Dawson and Adams they are certainly better than the current rubbish in the team.
@80, Morgan failed again as well. Why no criticism of him? It hasn't taken you long to forget how well Patel did in the first two matches of this series.
Welldone Indian team. I would like to see the selectors take a brave decision of dropping Gambhir soon. England team's bowlers certainly were inadequate for international matches except for two. England team doesn't seem to have the quality of keepers like Alan Knott anymore. There should be no local umpires and DRS should be made compulsary and bullying of any nature shouldn't be tolerated.
@ simonofsurrrey - Funny you know i didnt mean it as J.D is pre madonna look it up he is a modern prima donna. R.S decision wasnt a shocker so your wrong again are you blind Cook had shocker R.S was umpires call so i dont know what game your watching it's obvious home umps get caught up in the emotion/crowd pressure.Morgan needs to be sent packing for abit do you think he cares after the game...?
Thought of a new way to defend 250 runs in ODI,set an offside field and then bowl at leg stump.....just a minute .. Ashley Giles and his motley crew have already thought of that one.
The difference between the two sides is Jadeja, who fields well, can bat a match winning innings, and takes crucial wickets - which adds extra depth the middle order batting and reliable support bowling.Due to the T20, the batsmen are more acclimatized to getting 30-40 runs at a high strike rate, which probably was detrimental in the test format that requires more patience.
