Hampshire team manager Giles White said he was delighted to see the return of Danny Briggs from injury.

But he returned during their two-day practice match against Warwickshire in Barbados taking 1-12 as they posted a total of 273-6.

"It's good to get Danny out there again obviously," White told BBC Radio Solent.

The 21-year-old, from the Isle of Wight, was a pivotal figure in Hampshire's T20 and CB40 title wins in 2012 and White says he hopes to have him fully fit for the start of the county season in April.

"He's just coming back from an injury and is fit and well and got through it and is looking forward to bowling more over the weekend," added White.

"So he is heading in the right direction and that is good. We expect him to take a full part in the rest of the tour and to the lead up to our first game when we get back."

Next up for Hampshire is a T20 game against Yorkshire on Saturday.
