Wanderers and Miton win on Guernsey league opening day
Guernsey skipper Jamie Nussbaumer's century was not enough to help his Cobo side to victory as they lost to Wanderers on a Duckworth-Lewis ruling.
Nussbaumer, who hit 105, was ably supported by Ben Ferbrache who scored 53 as Cobo made 265-5 at the KGV.
But Jeremy Frith's 72 not out and Richard Veillard's 51 got Wanderers to 171-2 after 37 overs before rain forced the match to be abandoned.
Elsewhere Miton Optical beat Odey ORs by five wickets at Port Soif.
David Hooper took four wickets for 20 as Odeys were all out for 198 with four balls to spare after Adam le Page scored 61 and former island captain Andy Biggins hit 50.
In reply Channel Island champions Miton (formerly named Argylls Insurance) eased to their target with 11-and-a-half overs to spare.
Opener GH Smit top-scored with 67 as he and Lucas Barker (43) put on 94 for the opening wicket before Tim Kimber hit four fours and a six as he made 51 not out.
