|Close, day two: Northants 355 v Leicestershire 89-1|
|Northants 4pts, Leicestershire 3pts|
Andrew Hall hit a brilliant 113 for Northants before Leicestershire launched a solid reply at Wantage Road.
Resuming on 91-4 following a weather-affected opening day, Hall and Rob Newton (81) continued the hosts' revival on a wicketless second morning for the visitors.
After Newton fell, David Willey hit a career-best 77, but Ollie Freckingham (6-125) restricted the hosts to 355.
Leicestershire reached 89-1 in reply, with Greg Smith unbeaten on 36.
Northants had to make do without Willey in the evening session, with the 23-year-old unable to bowl because of a hamstring problem.

BBC Northampton's Chris Egerton:
"It's all square at the halfway stage, with Leicestershire's batsmen showing admirable control as they chase down Northamptonshire's decent but not impossible total of 355.
"Smith played correctly but as ever Copeland is the main danger for the home side to overcome.
"What doesn't help them is that Northants could be without David Willey, who only bowled two overs after a hamstring problem."
