@110Dont think i have seen anyone make so many statements in one paragraph and every one of them be wrong!
Why is Cricket so boring? Could it be the fact that it goes on for days? Could it be the fact it always ends in a draw? Could it be the fact that its just an elaborate game of throw and catch? Could it be the fact that theres only like 5 teams that play it so England are always playing the same team? Maybe because its an elitist sport thats way past its sell by date. Any thoughts?
@108 Agreed! If Dernbach spent as much time practising his cricket as he does in tattoo parlours he might make it as a good county player.
well done NZ!cough cough Onions cough cough 4 more wkts today cough cough!!!!
Well done NZ; excellent throughout.Nick Knight was saying how tough it has been on Ashley Giles as coach. Well I'll give him and Knight (who was an ordinary cricketer at best) a little hint about selection. Dernbach and Woakes aren't even very good county players.
@105 I agree Guptil is good, but England are minnows in this format
Wow, Guptil is amazing. That knock today was one of the best ever
"I don't think it was a wake-up call" said Cook after the first abject performance. After the second, even more abject bowling performance, will he admit that this is a wake up call? If England play against e.g. South Africa you would think they are likely to concede well over 400 if they persist in bowlers like Dernbach and Woakes
Abject England - the rest of the world take ODIs and 20-20 seriously, England pick pie-chuckers instead of bowlers, and their approach to batting seems to be one of blind panic.
I assume from the fact that Dernback and Woakes are playing in the second ODI that England really don't care about the 60 over format. Kind of odd, then that the management dug their feet in insisting KP play it, if they won't take it seriously.
#100:The three forms of the game complement each other. Test cricket has a long history, offers historical context and an examination of technique and temperament over five days.ODIs and T20 offer thrills and spills and a result in several hours, and pulls in the punters with their cash. So long as the ICC organise tournaments, England have to practise and compete...
