The thought police are going to be all over this thread soon. Repeat after me: all BBC commentators are equally as good as one another regardless of race, gender or age
To all the sexist guys and gals out there ...one day there will be a she/male....or is that he/female cricket reporter, on the box and in he papers/net.No balls ups , just pure technique.
Told you Tom, the mere fact you don't like a commentator who happens to be a woman means you're prejudiced. No one would have batted an eyelid if you had said you don't like any of the male commentators!!
Tom_in_ExeterDont want to give you any more publicity for your prejududice but Alison Mitchell (thats her name !!) is a top class reporter and very good commentator. Get with it mate. Its 2013 not 1913!. Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alison_Mitchell
Tom_in_Exeter,No doubt you will now be branded a knuckle-dragging, neanderthal chauvanist! I find her irritating too but purely because of her style. While we're on the subject, I find Boycott irritating too. Thats OK though, because he's a bloke!!
Am I the only person whose enjoyment of cricket is being ruined by the BBC's female commentator? I have nothing against women breaking into this field, the more the merrier, but they must be competent. I don't know her name, but the problem is that she talks too much and too fast. The strain of producing this ceaseless torrent of words leads to stridency and illiterate use of stress. Less is more!
66.Mort you are a clown, but i have out clowned you through my superior cricket knowledge. Au revoir mon clown. THE WINNER
@65. NorthernApeEven though this has been such fun wasting my time humouring you -- I think I will now leave you to your padded keyboard and suggest you look around the room and find a big, soft cuddly toy to have a hug with. Mummy will be along soon. I'll be sure to let her know her son is developing quite nicely into an internet troll.
64.Mort Why do people like you have to ruin the forums for the rest of us? If you don't like cricket then fair enough but don't get all football fan like and start abusing people. You've ruined this for me.
@63. NorthernApeHow's the revision coming along?
62. Mort No, i said Trott was too slow. Check their strike rates out! You'll see. Bell has been poor for a while now.I think Ashley Giles, is a good addition to the England set up. Do you want Flower to do everything so that he is burnt out and wants to leave within a year? Do you?...clown.
@59 frankiBell does indeed seem to have a free pass around the England set-up, which has been made worse by the intro of Ashley Giles into ODI set-up.@61 NorthernApeI don't understand. Most of your recent posts have lambasted me for criticising Ian Bell. Now you're certain he needs to be replaced and his ODI s/r is too slow. Troll?
59.frankiVery true. Bell has had many chances and he's never been awful, but he hasn't been special either. Think it may be time to try someone new.His ODI batting strike rate is too slow too.
