Glamorgan have a selection headache ahead of their match with Warwickshire in the T20 championship on Saturday.

All-rounder Jim Allenby is fit again after missing the four-wicket win over the same opponents in Cardiff on Wednesday.

But his replacement for that game, Nick James, impressed head of elite performance Matthew Mott.

"He gives everything in the field, he bowls well... and his innings was quite mature as well," said Mott.

Glamorgan have named an unchanged 14-man squad for the match after winning their opening two games in the tournament.

Allenby is likely to figure in the starting line-up having recovered from the stomach bug which kept him out of the first match against Warwickshire, with Mott admitting the decision to omit him had been a close call.

"Basically he had a stomach virus and was touch-and-go, we could have pushed him to play but he's a key player for us in all forms of the game and we've just really got to monitor him," said Mott.

"He was keen to push through it, but there was also the danger that he was still could have infected some others there so we took the cautious approach and got away with a win."

The Australian all-rounder tops the club's four-day batting averages at 78.76 runs and is third in the 40-over averages with 48.4.

Another option for the selectors would be to include Allenby and James, possibly at the expense of Ben Wright.

Another problem for Mott is the continued absence of former England fast bowler Simon Jones.

The 2005 Ashes hero is still struggling with a shoulder injury, with the club not expecting him to be fit just yet.

"We're still waiting a little on more reports on him, but it's going to be a couple of weeks before we see him again," said Mott.

"We just hope and pray he comes back hard."

Glamorgan squad: J Allenby, MA Wallace (wkt), CB Cooke, MJ North (capt), MW Goodwin, BJ Wright, SJ Walters, NL McCullum, NA James, DA Cosker, MG Hogan, WT Owen, GG Wagg and AJ Jones.
