Back to back ashes centuries ? Keen to know who has done it before BBC ?That would be good sport reporting .........
Bell has scored an important century.Could be a very decisive knock for the home side.Congrats to the centurion of back to backs 100s.Dr. Cajetan Coelho
Great to see Bell , put the unlearned cricket critics in their place.Where are the barmy army? And their songs and chants? Is it illegal now in England to be overtly English?Very odd?
626 - my bat, my ball, now I'm off home with 'em!613 - I wasn't writing the post for your benefit, I never felt a need to explain it for you. It was targeted at someone else who was writing off the Ashes as a sporting event. I did tell you to re-read, didn't I?! Didn't that set the alarm bells off? You don't seriously think I meant us English have the Ashes locked behind a window, do you? ;-)
you all have fun arguing about your ashes, ENJOY
623 - your post was directed at mine, no.599, but I never talked about SA, India and the Ashes in that context, so you've dragged my post into your argument when it doesn't actually have anything to do with it in the way that you are trying to use it. Re-read 599 (mine), re-read 620 (yours), then the penny might drop.Like I said, read people's posts properly before you comment on them!
Please beware of the poster known as G_K__. He cannot bear to see England win at anything, be it cricket, football or tiddlywinks. Now that England are in the ascendancy in The Ashes, he is indulging in generalizations about the quality of the competition. Its a favourite smoke and mirrors tactic of his.
@622 why don't you read ALL posts below. try #611 its a bigger discussion than u think@621 yes you are right but that Indian team was different from the current Indian team and was in poor form. fyi we didn't just beat this same aussie but we completely demolished them in every department of the game. the same Australia team is now facing England and England hasn't done the same demolition.
620 - nope, can you read? That statement was in the context of global interest in a test series between SA & Ind and an Ashes series between Eng & Aus, wasn't making a judgement on the relative strengths of the teams, SA are rightly top of the pile there, just the amount of attention the 2 series would attract globally.Do you read the posts you comment on? ;-)
@620, Didnt india just get beaten in thier own conditions by England, despite conditions being made to measure for India with 2 very spin friendly tracks. As for the top 2 the rankings can change on a heart beat, all it needs is a bad series, and india could find themselves in 4th after the SA tour later in the year.
