Been listening to the live commentry online whenever I can all season, as a Durham fan it has been excellent. 3 centuries from Scott Borthwick, Rocky Stoneman attacking from ball 1, Ben Stokes roaring in and showing himself to be a true all-rounder, and the new generation of seam and spin bowlers coming through. Exciting season so far, and more to come...
What a poor article. Little analysis of the season so far, no opinion about how the rest of the season might go, or what different counties might be hoping to achieve. Just some generic 'Were hoping for promotion at Lancs' ramble. Who's paying this guy? Nothing he's written all season has offered anything insightful.Sports journalism at the BBC is on a serious slide.
2 & 3 ... why not *listen* to the commentaries that the beeb are providing ...
2 & 3You could always try going to watch a match live
Re 2. Yes, it would be good if someone gave it coverage but you don't have to care only if it's on TV (Sky do cover the odd game it has to be said). But I care whether it's on TV or not as it continues to provide some classy cricket and there's a lot of places up for grabs this winter in one of the several England tours.
It's not on terrestrial TV and there's no live text made about it like the premier league...So why should we care? BBC, either start a live text for division 1 county championship or relegate it to the other sports section where snooker currently resides.Either that or buy the county championship for freeview on one of the channels that you own/make a new channel.
Why are Lancs still batting against Hants?
