Nottinghamshire all-rounder Samit Patel says he has not given up hope of playing for England.
Patel has not played international cricket since February and has been overlooked for the Ashes squad which tours Australia this winter.
The 28-year-old, who starred as Notts secured an 87-run win over Glamorgan in Saturday's YB40 final, said: "I still want to play in all forms for England.
"Hopefully I will do that soon. But there is a lot of work to do."
Patel has often been criticised for a lack of fitness and has been dropped by England for concerns about his physical condition, rather than his cricketing ability.
