|Leicestershire 197-4 (20 ovs) beat Derbyshire 170-7 (20 ovs) by 27 runs|
New Zealand international Scott Styris smashed an unbeaten 63 from 31 balls on debut to lead Leicestershire to a 27-run T20 Blast win over Derbyshire.
The all-rounder clubbed seven fours and three sixes and was supported by Josh Cobb (38), Greg Smith (35) and Ned Eckersley (33) in a big total of 197-4.
Nathan Buck (3-26) made early inroads as Derbyshire fell to 37-3 in reply.
Marcus North's superb 47-ball 90 made a game of it, but Anthony Ireland (2-31) helped restrict Derbyshire to 170-7.
Seamer Ireland had struck a crucial early blow when he dismissed West Indies batsman Shiv Chanderpaul for a second-ball duck.
It was in stark contrast to the Derbyshire attack who all struggled to stem the flow of runs on a good batting wicket, with Mark Footitt, Jonathan Clare, Wes Durston and Chesney Hughes taking a wicket apiece.
