The T20 Blast fixture between Derbyshire and Northamptonshire was called off without a ball being bowled because of a wet outfield.
The game was abandoned following an inspection at 18:30 BST, which had been the scheduled start time.
The postponement gives Derbyshire, who lost their opening two group matches, their first point of the competition.
Northants had begun the defence of their T20 title with two victories from their first two outings.
