BBC Sport - Hat-trick confusion for Broad and England at Headingley
Hat-trick confusion at Headingley
- From the section Cricket
The Test Match Special commentary team are not the only people at Headingley to be caught unawares by Stuart Broad's hat-trick on the first day of the second Test against Sri Lanka.
Broad took the wicket of Kumar Sangakkara with the final ball of the 63rd over in Leeds and removed Dinesh Chandimal and Shaminda Eranga with his next two deliveries.
But with another Sri Lankan wicket falling to Liam Plunkett in the intervening over and a change of guard in the TMS commentary box, not everyone appears to have noticed the hat-trick - not least Broad himself.
