Captain Andrew Gale's half century set the platform for Yorkshire's 14-run win over Leicestershire in the T20 Blast.

Gale (55) got them off to a rapid start at Headingley but Ben Raine (3-25) took two wickets in two balls, including prolific opener Aaron Finch for five.

Tim Bresnan hit two sixes in the final over to lift Yorkshire to 168-5.

Greg Smith's 56 gave the visitors a chance, but impressive bowling from Adil Rashid (2-24) and Ryan Sidebottom (2-32) restricted them to 154-8.

Yorkshire move up to fourth in the North Group, three points behind leaders Worcestershire with a game in hand.

The Foxes set about their reply in positive fashion as Josh Cobb (27) and Smith put on 61 for the first wicket inside seven overs.

But Yorkshire duo Finch and Adam Lyth teamed up for their second piece of remarkable fielding in this season's T20 Blast.

Just under a month after combining to get rid of Tom Smith in the Roses match against Lancashire at Old Trafford, Lyth palmed the ball back on the boundary edge and Finch dived full length to take a low one-handed catch to get rid of Cobb.

Leicestershire continued to lose wickets and no other batsman was able to make an impact, with two wickets in two balls in the 17th over effectively ending the contest.

Sidebottom bowled Rob Taylor for two and Azeem Rafiq brilliantly ran out Raine for a golden duck.

Earlier, Leicestershire were dealt a blow in the 17th over when a second beamer from Nathan Buck saw him banned from bowling for the rest of the innings.

Durham's Usman Arshad suffered a similar fate against Leicestershire two weeks ago in the Foxes' four-wicket victory.
