Match scorecard |
Hampshire and Worcestershire took a point each from their abandoned One-Day Cup match.
Rain meant play did not get underway until five hours after the scheduled start time at the Rose Bowl.
And a subsequent downpour saw the match called off with Hampshire 42-0, and Michael Carberry and Sean Turner unbeaten on 30 and 10 respectively.
Worcestershire drop to fifth in Group A after six games on six points, while the hosts climb up to seventh.
Hampshire coach Dale Benkenstein said:
"It was disappointing when the rain came as it did. We had got ourselves into a good position.
"A point keeps us in with a glimmer of hope but we must beat Essex away on Wednesday to stand any chance.
"When it comes to these crunch games, the Hampshire side seems to stick together and produce its best cricket, an unusual attribute.
"The disappointment today is that Carberry was batting well and Terry was looking good."
