BBC Radio Kent's Peter Guise:
"Having had Glamorgan on the rack early in the opening session Kent missed the chance to roll the Welsh vounty's innings over.
"They had to watch while Chris Cooke first scored his maiden century and then went on to make 171 whilst Glamorgan wickets fell around him.
"In doing so they also missed the chance to shorten the match and give themselves some breathing space before Thursday's One-Day Cup semi-final."
