Somerset all-rounder Peter Trego smashed 94 off 76 balls on final day of their two-day friendly against Glamorgan in Taunton.
Lewis Gregory (66) and Alex Barrow (77) helped the home side reach 314-7 before declaring, 184 ahead of the Welsh county.
Ben Wright hit a 74 not out and Will Bragg (45) in reply as Glamorgan made 130-2 before bad light ended play.
Glamorgan's next match is against Cardiff MCCU on Thursday 26 March.
Somerset host Gloucestershire at Taunton on Monday.
Somerset edged a low-scoring first day of their pre-season friendly against Glamorgan as they reached 69-3 in reply to the visitors' 130 all out at Taunton Vale.
Glamorgan were put under pressure after choosing to bat as Tim Groenewald and Jack Leach claimed three wickets each, David Lloyd top-scoring with 34.
Somerset were quickly struggling themselves in reply at 33-3 with Dewi Penrhyn-Jones claiming two wickets, including former Glamorgan allrounder Jim Allenby for a duck.
Lewis Gregory and Alex Barrow added 36 before the close due to poor light, with the teams agreeing a 10am start on Tuesday to make up for lost time.
