1962-63: Benaud's Australia retain Ashes

Ted Dexter's hopes of bringing the Ashes back to England were thwarted by Richie Benaud's determined Australia, who came from behind to draw the series 1-1 and retain the urn.

England won the second Test at Melbourne by seven wickets to record their first victory in Australia since 1954-55, but they couldn't keep the momentum going and lost the third Test at Sydney by eight wickets.

The deciding fifth Test, also at Sydney, saw England captain Dexter (featured in these highlights being stumped trying to up the tempo) set Australia 241 to win on the final afternoon, but Benaud's side played safe, finishing on 152-4.
