Guernsey captain Jamie Nussbaumer has said they have had a good European T20 tournament despite defeat by Jersey.
The Islanders won three of their five games, finishing fourth in the table, but could have topped the group had they beaten eventual winners Jersey.
"It was not the way we wanted to finish what has been a really good week for us," Nussbaumer told BBC Guernsey.
"I'll put it down to wanting to win so badly that maybe we were weren't fully able to express ourselves."
Guernsey went into the final round of fixtures level on points with Italy, Denmark and Jersey at the top.
They will compete in Division Six of the World Cricket League in September, which is being held in Essex.
"It will take time but I think we've turned that corner. To get that win over Denmark was really special for us," added Nussbaumer.
"Good luck to Jersey (in the World Twenty20 Qualifier) because I think it's going to be a pretty tough tournament."
