Jersey beat MCC in Twenty20 World Cup qualifier warm-ups
Jersey won two out of three games against the MCC as they continued their warm-up for the global qualifying round of the World Twenty20.
The island side registered a nine-wicket and a 16-run wins in their first two games before losing the final match by seven wickets.
Captain Peter Gough hit 48 not out in the first game and had knocks of 43 and 58 in the next two matches.
Gough and Anthony Hawkins-Kay each took three wickets over the three games.
In Saturday's first match, Jersey restricted their opponents to 105-8 from their 20 overs before Gough and Dominic Blampied put on 57 for the second wicket as they reached their target in 14 overs.
Jersey scored 148-8 batting first in the second match on Sunday, with the MCC restricted to 132-6 in reply.
The MCC prevented a clean sweep in the final game on Monday at the Farmers CC where the islanders totalled 163-6, but opener Jamie Southgate's unbeaten 114, including nine fours and five sixes, saw them reach their target in 19 overs.
Jersey will be one of 14 teams taking part in the World T20 qualifier in Ireland and Scotland from 6-26 July, with the top six making it to the first round of the tournament proper.
