Guernsey beat the MCC by 56 runs in a Twenty20 match at Port Soif to retain the Warren Barrett Trophy.

Dave Hooper (45 not out) and Ben Ferbrache (29) put on 81 for the fifth wicket as the islanders recovered from 74-4 after 13 overs to total 160-5.

In reply, the visitors were restricted to 104-9 as Guernsey skipper Jamie Nussbaumer, Ollie Newey, Matt Stokes and Max Ellis each took two wickets.

The MCC will meet a Guernsey Cricket Board XI on Thursday in a 50-over game.
