Devon are still looking for their first Minor Counties Championship win of the season after drawing at Berkshire.
Having started on 49-2 Berkshire declared on 305-8 as Chris Peploe (64) and Andy Rishton (60) put on 99 for the seventh wicket to leave Devon needing 244 in the final session.
Liam Lewis scored 66 not out while Matt Thompson hit 41 off 51 balls as Devon ended the match on 141-3.
The result keeps Devon third-from-bottom in the Western Division.
But the result allowed their biggest rivals Cornwall to go clear at the top of the table.
They had been level with Berkshire, but are now 14 points clear of Devon's opponents who drop to third, with Oxfordshire in second place, four points behind the Cornish.
