One-Day Cup: Durham v Worcestershire washed out

Chester-le-Street
Durham began their One-Day Cup campaign with a 54-run win over Nottinghamshire on Saturday

The One-Day Cup match between Durham and Worcestershire at Chester-le-Street has been abandoned without a ball being bowled because of rain.

Having already taken an early lunch, the umpires decided to call the game off at 13:10 BST as persistent rainfall led to puddles forming on the outfield.

Both teams will be awarded one point for a no result.

The washout follows the abandonment of six of Sunday's seven One-Day Cup games, also because of poor weather.
