Warwickshire claimed their first victory in this season's One-Day Cup as they beat Lancashire by three wickets.
Opener Ashwell Prince top scored for Lancashire with 82 but the hosts fell from 154-2 to 161-5 before an unbeaten 73 from Alex Davies took them to 265-7.
Ex-England batsman Jonathan Trott made one, although captain Varun Chopra (88) and Tim Ambrose (59) both impressed.
Needing 13 to win off the last over, Warwickshire struck three fours to reach 268-7 with one ball to spare.
One boundary from Jeetan Patel (15 not out) and two in two balls from Ateeq Javid (32 not out) off seamer Tom Bailey ensured a thrilling finish at Old Trafford.
The 2014 One-Day Cup runners-up move off the bottom of Group B and it was a perfect response after they had been heavily criticised following a 152-run loss against Essex in their previous match.
Both Lancashire and Warwickshire have three points from four games with the Bears at home to Glamorgan on Monday before Lancashire play Nottinghamshire in Liverpool the following day.
Warwickshire captain Varun Chopra:
"It was a scrappy performance but it was exactly what we needed - to get over the line. Hopefully we can build on that now.
"Nowadays you are used to the pressure of T20 cricket and you're able to chase a bit more off the last over then perhaps you were a few years back.
"Ateeq Javid was brilliant and he's become a bit of a finisher for us in one-day cricket and he showed great composure for a young lad to take us over the line."
Lancashire cricket director and head coach Ashley Giles:
"There was a period there when they were cruising it, and then we got back in it and then we lost it.
"That has been the tale of many of our one-day games this year. Although we have qualified for the quarter-finals of the T20 Blast, we have had six games that have gone down to the last or second from last balls.
"Ashwell gave us a great start and had a great partnership with Alviro (Petersen). But then we lost our way in the middle and we needed a brilliant little cameo from Alex to smack it around and get us to a score."
